Mathew 19:14 Children's Ministries in Uganda is dedicated to supporting vulnerable children through a range of initiatives focused on education. Our projects provide essential resources such as school supplies, uniforms, and access to quality educational opportunities. By addressing critical challenges such as poverty, resource scarcity, and limited access to education, we strive to empower these children and pave the way for a brighter future. EDUCATION PROGRAM
Premier Nursery and Primary School, located in Buloba, was founded in 2013 with a simple but powerful goal: to give children the best chance at a brighter future through quality education. For over a decade, the school has stayed committed to this mission, constantly working to improve how children learn and grow. From the very first day, the focus has been on creating a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where young learners can thrive. The school believes that education is more than just classroom lessons; it’s about nurturing a child’s mind, heart, and character.
Over the years, Premier Nursery and Primary School has introduced new ways to teach students that keep their interest alive. Teachers use creative methods like group activities, storytelling, and hands-on projects to make lessons fun and meaningful. The curriculum has also been designed to be diverse, covering subjects like reading, math, science, and social studies, while also including activities like sports, art, and music. This approach helps meet each child’s individual needs, whether they learn best through listening, seeing, or doing.
Currently, the school operates on premises that were donated by generous supporters. This means the school has a place to grow without the burden of rent or property costs. Still, everyone involved knows this is just a temporary solution. They are actively working to secure their own land and build a permanent, well-equipped campus. This process involves reaching out to donors, friends, and community partners who share the school’s vision for a better future. The goal is to have a dedicated, self-owned school facility where children can learn in a modern, safe environment. Once this dream becomes a reality, the school plans to move to its new site. The move will symbolize growth and a firm step toward providing even better facilities and resources for the students.
VULNERABLE Children
Our organization is dedicated to providing vital support to vulnerable children in need. We create a safe space for them by offering temporary shelter when they have nowhere else to go. This means giving children a place to stay during difficult times, such as after losing their families or escaping dangerous situations. We also focus on long-term care, helping children rebuild their lives with programs that support their emotional and physical well-being over time.
Our educational programs play a key role in empowering these young lives. We help them learn basic skills, attend school, and develop confidence to face the future. These programs are designed to give children hope and a sense of stability. We partner with local schools and teachers to ensure every child has the chance to learn and grow.
Food is a core part of our care. We provide nutritious meals that help children regain strength and stay healthy. These meals are carefully planned to meet the nutritional needs of growing children, especially those affected by malnutrition. We understand how crucial proper nutrition is for their mental development and physical growth. Along with food, we give children clean, comfortable clothing. This helps them feel safe and confident in their daily lives.
Access to medical care is also a top priority. We offer affordable health services, including checkups and treatment, so children can stay healthy. Special attention is given to maternal health and malnutrition because these issues often affect vulnerable populations. We work with healthcare providers to ensure children and their mothers get the support they need to recover or maintain good health.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING
Our vocational program aims to open doors for young adults seeking to build skills and find meaningful work. We focus on providing opportunities to those who might find it hard to gain employment, especially individuals with disabilities. Through hands-on training and skill-building activities, we help them gain confidence and independence. Building these skills can make a real difference in their lives, giving them a chance to support themselves and become active members of their communities.
Currently, our resources and equipment are limited, but we make the most of what we have. We offer training in tailoring, helping students learn how to make clothing, repair garments, and develop their creativity. We also run bakery courses, teaching basic bread and pastry-making that can be turned into small businesses. These programs are designed to teach both practical skills and important work habits, such as punctuality and teamwork.
Having proper tools and equipment will open up more opportunities. When we have access to better sewing machines, ovens, and baking tools, we can expand our offerings. Our goal is to, in time, introduce additional skills like hairdressing, which can help students find work in salons or start their own. Business communication classes will teach them how to better talk with clients, customers, or employers. We are also planning to add courses in carpentry and welding, two trades that often have steady demand for skilled workers. Basic agricultural practices will teach sustainable farming methods, helping those interested in farming or gardening.
With the right resources and support, we can grow this program step by step. Each new skill offered will empower more young people to become more self-sufficient. Giving them access to diverse trades and skills will help them adapt to different job markets and increase their chances of success. Our hope is that someday, we will be able to serve even more young adults, including those with disabilities, by expanding the range of vocational training we can provide. These skills don’t just create jobs; they also build confidence and foster independence, allowing individuals to shape brighter futures for themselves and their communities.
